Who is All Wide Towing & Recovery?
All Wide Towing & Recovery is a Norfolk, Virginia towing company. It offers light, medium and heavy duty towing, accident towing, vehicle recovery and roadside assistance. The work ranges from a compact car with a dead battery to a commercial truck that has left the road.
Every call is handled the same way: we ask about the vehicle and its location, then send the truck that fits it. Its official website is allwidetowingrecovery.com, and its main phone line is (757) 796-4622.
Who runs All Wide Towing & Recovery?
Vivian Ramos owns All Wide Towing & Recovery. She holds the business license and runs the office from the Norfolk base. Email sent to vivianramo11@gmail.com goes to her.
Kaiser Palmer runs operations. For a breakdown or anything urgent, call (757) 796-4622.
Where are we based, and how far do we go?
Our base is at 2151 Maude B. Davis St, Norfolk, VA 23504. You don’t need to bring the vehicle to us; we come to wherever it is.
We serve seven Hampton Roads cities: Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton and Newport News. We also work the shoulders and exits of the interstates that connect them: I-64, I-264, I-464, I-564 and I-664.
South of the harbor, that means Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Suffolk. On the Peninsula, it means Hampton and Newport News, reached by I-64 and I-664. If you’re not sure whether your location is in range, call and ask.
Which tow trucks do we use, and what is each one for?
We run four kinds of equipment, and the vehicle decides which one goes out.
Flatbed. The car rides on the bed with all four wheels off the pavement. We use it for all-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive models, electric vehicles, lowered or luxury cars, and anything damaged badly enough that it shouldn’t roll.
Wheel lift and dollies. The wheel lift raises one end of the vehicle; dollies go under the other wheels when needed. This setup fits into tight spots such as parking garages, narrow streets and crowded lots.
Wrecker. Built for larger and heavier vehicles, including work trucks and commercial trucks.
Boom truck. Used for recoveries: a vehicle in a ditch, on its side, or parked somewhere a standard tow truck can’t reach.
The “Recovery” in our name means getting a vehicle back onto the road or onto a truck when it is in a ditch, on its side or stuck off the pavement.
Who do we tow for?
Businesses and fleets are a big part of the work: box trucks, service vans, delivery trucks and other work vehicles that break down mid-route or on a job site, towed to the company’s own shop, a truck dealer or its yard. Motorhome and RV owners call us too, whether the coach is stuck at home or stalled on the road. And everyday drivers call when a car, SUV, minivan or pickup won’t start, has a flat, is locked or has been in a crash.
Not every call ends in a tow. Jump starts, lockouts, spare tire changes, fuel delivery (regular, premium or diesel) and winch-outs are often done right where the vehicle sits.
What happens when you call us?
A call to (757) 796-4622 follows the same order every time:
1. Location. A street address or cross street, or on the interstate, the road number, your direction of travel and the nearest exit.
2. Vehicle. Year, make and model, plus anything unusual: all-wheel drive, electric, lowered, loaded with cargo, or very large.
3. Problem. Won’t start, flat tire, out of fuel, locked out, stuck, or damaged in an accident.
4. Destination. If it needs a tow, the shop, dealership, body shop or home address where it should go. You choose.
5. Price and dispatch. You can ask what the job will cost, and we confirm the details before a truck is sent. Then the matching truck heads your way.
When the driver arrives, a roadside fix comes first if it will work. If it doesn’t, the vehicle is loaded and taken to the address you gave us.
How do we keep you informed?
If you ask on the first call, we tell you what the job costs for your vehicle, location and destination before anything is dispatched.
If something changes, such as a different drop-off address or a vehicle that turns out to need recovery work, tell us and we talk it through with you. After an accident, keep your receipt and the shop’s address; your insurance company will usually ask for both.
How do we work on every call?
These are the habits we work by:
We are open every day, day and night, including weekends and holidays.
We send the truck that suits your vehicle, not just whichever one is free.
We take your vehicle where you decide, whether that’s your own mechanic, a dealer or your driveway.
